Sneak Peek Sunday - R.E. Hargrave

A note from R.E. Hargrave regarding The Divine Trilogy:

The Divine Trilogy is an account of a young submissive whose second Dom turned out to be a fake, an abuser, and her subsequent recovery and re-entry into the BDSM lifestyle with the help of a new Dom: Jayden Masterson. **This series is meant for adults due to the erotic content.**

When I began penning this tale, I wanted to give a different view of the BDSM world; one that would hopefully enlighten readers and show them that those who live this Lifestyle often do so because it is a deep-seated need within their psyche, something that can't be ignored. And that that need is okay because, when practiced properly, BDSM is all about being Safe, Sane, and Consensual. It was also important to me to offer readers a sampling of the different dynamics which can occur amongst kinksters. You have everything from your hardcore pain sluts to your docile “littles” who want to be pampered and coddled, but the important thing to remember is that everyone has a place of acceptance, without judgment, in this lifestyle.

Readers may also find that this is not your typical romance. In fact, when you first meet the main characters, they are not looking for love at all.

Come with me, and I’ll  take you on the journey alongside Catherine and Jayden while their bond grows and deepens. It’ll be sexy and intense, but never fear, the 'bad' stuff that has happened to our young lass is recounted through journal entries and therapy sessions, so it's 'distanced.' You don’t have to go through the experiences first hand with the Catherine, but you get to be there and see the tender side of her new Dom as he helps her through her past tragedies.

Time and again reviewers have said they couldn’t put these books down . . . even when they don’t usually read this genre. And now, after a long wait,
the final installment will be released on December 15, 2014.

Price will be going up on release day, so take advantage of the discount and reserve your copy.

~Praise for The Divine Trilogy~

To Serve is Divine

"This was a love story but so MUCH more"

"If you are looking for a titillating read that will leave you wanting.. read this book!"

"Strong characters who are well written, complex and truthful to the BDSM lifestyle."

A Divine Life

"A Divine Life is very descriptive and extremely well written."

". . . a story of power and strength to over come the baggage that you carry. . ."

"I was truly speechless when I finished reading. The book follows the development of Jayden and Erin’s relationship as he lavishes her with surprises and treats to celebrate their first year together as Dom and sub, but for both of them, it’s evolved into much more than that."

Surreal

"RE Hargrave put her heart and soul into this book!"

"I have been waiting for what seems like forever for surreal, for more of Catherine and Jayden. I managed to read this is one day, and that's impressive considering the size of the book! That's how much I enjoyed it. Written to perfection as always from RE Hargrave. Catherine and Jayden's story continues in The Divine Trilogy. It has its love, drama and emotions. This one had a considerable amount of emotional moments to the point I nearly cried...so keep them tissues handy ;) I can't express how amazing this book is, how amazing the whole trilogy is and am planning to read them all again in the future!"

"The perfect ending for this wonderful trilogy."

Tempting Tuesdays ~ Pumpkin Pie Cake

So . . . I cheated a little on this last "pie" recipe. I was looking for a twist on the traditional pumpkin pie, but some recipes were way above my head or just didn't taste right. I found this recipe on One Good Thing by Jillee that accomplishes the pumpkin twist, but it actually has a cake "crust" instead of the traditional.

Ingredients

Cake (Bottom) Layer

1 box yellow cake mix (reserved 1 cup for topping)
8 tablespoons butter
1 egg

Pumpkin (Middle) Layer

1 large can pure pumpkin (I used a 29oz can of Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin)

Topping (Top) Layer

3 tablespoons cold butter
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 cup reserved yellow cake mix

Mix cake layer ingredients (except 1 cup cake mix reserved for topping) until well combined then spread into prepared 9x13 pan.

Spoon pumpkin over cake layer carefully so they do not combine. Smooth out with spoon or spatula.

In a separate bowl, add 3 tablespoons of butter to 1 cup reserved yellow cake mix and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Cut butter into dry mixture until crumbly. Sprinkle over pumpkin layer until covered.

Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes. Let cool and top with whipped cream if so desired. ENJOY.

Tempting Tuesdays ~ Cranberry Pecan Pie

Another delicious pie recipe from fellow Author to Author member, RE Hargrave. I was looking for a twist on the traditional pecan pie. Sometimes, it is just too sweet for me. This recipe gives you an abundance of flavors that go perfectly together.

Ingredients

9 inch pie crust

Filling

3 eggs
1 cup corn syrup
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups fresh cranberries
1 cup chopped pecans

Mix eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla until completely blended.

Add cranberries and pecans. Stir until nuts and berries are completely coated.

Pre-bake your pie crust if needed according to your pie crust instructions. Spoon mixture into pie crust and bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees and cook for an additional 35 to 45 minutes.

Bake until firm then cool completely before slicing. It can be a little messy if you slice it up while it is still too warm. Fair warning. Hope you will consider enjoying this on your holiday table this year.

Sneak Peek Sunday - Sherri Hayes

Welcome to Serpent’s Kiss

 by Sherri Hayes

Available December 4, 2014

Katrina Mayer glanced at the clock. She had a few more minutes before she needed to head upstairs. It was enough time for her to glance over the newest membership application she’d received.
The applicant’s name was Drew Parker. He was a firefighter and listed himself as submissive. Everything about him seemed fairly straightforward. He was twenty-eight. Single. And looking for a kinky relationship with a female dominant.
As she scanned the rest of his details, two Femdoms came to mind—Madi and Beth. Madi was a regular. The club was open every Friday and Saturday night, and Madi rarely missed the opportunity to have some fun. Every now and then, she’d play with one of the male subs, but it was rare. More often than not, Madi could be found on the dance floor.
Beth was another story. To be honest, Katrina was worried about her. Beth used to come to the club all the time with her longtime sub, Ben. Two months ago, Beth discovered that Ben had a secret life she’d known nothing about. It had left her shattered and heartbroken. She hadn’t been to the club since it happened. For the time being, Beth had no desire to get back on the horse. Katrina was hoping that would change with time.
It wasn’t her job to be a matchmaker, however. She’d created Serpent’s Kiss as a place where kinky people could hang out and play when the mood struck them.
Speaking of moods, Katrina was in the mood to have some fun. She pushed back from her desk and walked out into the hall. After locking the door to her office, she headed down to the main room of the club, where Ali and Brandon were getting things ready for later that night.
Brandon, her main bartender, caught her eye. She tilted her head toward the stairs, and he nodded.
Katrina rarely played while the club was open unless it was to do a demonstration. Things were too hectic, and all too often, she was needed to help with one issue or another. Plus, it was always good to mingle with the club members and make sure they were content.

It was for that reason that she tended to play before the club opened its doors to the evening crowd. Brandon and whichever submissive had signed up for the evening service arrived three hours before the club opened to prep and clean. It was the perfect opportunity for her to sneak upstairs to have a little fun while still being safe. She always kept the door open to whatever room she used, and Brandon was aware that the upstairs was off-limits during those times unless he heard someone yell red.

About the Author

Sherri spent most of her childhood detesting English class. It was one of her least favorite subjects because she never seemed to fit into the standard mold. She wasn't good at spelling, or following grammar rules, and outlines made her head spin. For that reason, Sherri never imagined becoming an author.
At the age of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternate ending, and give the characters their happily ever after. By the time the story finished, it was one of the top ten read stories on the site, and her readers were encouraging her to write more.

Nearly eight years later, Sherri is the author of eight full-length novels, and two short stories. Writing has become a creative outlet that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. You can find a current list of all of Sherri’s books and sign up for her monthly newsletter at www.sherrihayesauthor.com
