So, you might call my love for everything with the combination of chocolate and peanut butter an obsession. I would tell you that you're right. That is why I'm giving you a dose of my obsession with the recipe for Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls from All Kinds of Yumm.
Ingredients
1 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons of butter, softened
1 bag of chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of Crisco or shortening
Place peanut butter, powdered sugar, and butter in a bowl.
Combine. This will be VERY sticky. You might want to use a spoon sprayed with cooking spray or even your hands.
Roll into balls and place on a wax paper covered baking sheet. Place the balls in the fridge for 20-30 minutes to firm up.
Melt chocolate chips and Crisco over very low heat, stirring constantly.
Dip balls in chocolate with a spoon until completely coated. Place back on wax paper covered baking sheet and put back into the fridge for 30 more minutes.
These are so addictive. Enjoy only a few at a time to avoid sweetness overload.
